New engineering graduate student instructors (GSIs) are REQUIRED to attend a teaching orientation.
Prior to orientation, GSIs will need to complete an online module. Materials will be available by August 21, 2019 and also emailed to those that registered below for orientation. Orientation includes interactive sessions on teaching, a performance by the CRLT Players, and a practice teaching session. Please bring your MCard to orientation.
New Engineering GSIs are also required to complete their ongoing professional development. For questions about requirements, please contact Krista Quinn (firstname.lastname@example.org). Any new GSI who does not complete the training and on-going professional development requirement will not be allowed to serve as a College of Engineering GSI in future terms.
Online registration is not yet open.
All new engineering GSIs need to register for the orientation, once it is open.
Orientation attendees will be assigned to Group A or Group B upon arrival. The orientation content is the same for either group. To view the agenda for Group A (click here) and to view the agenda for Group B (click here).
